Joachim Schmidt

Joachim Schmidt is an expert in applying Lean Production methods for parts processing and assembly in the automotive, aerospace and general engineering industries. Several memberships in engineering societies and the Lean Management Institute give him access to state-of-the-art and best practise in industrial application.

His studies at the RWTH Aachen University, Germany were followed by 5 years of research with a doctor degree. He completed his studies with a university practise in economics and accounting. Joachim Schmidt started his industrial career heading the industrial engineering department of Deutz, a manufacturer of diesel engines and agricultural trucks. He gained international experience as the managing director in German and American machine tool companies with engagements in the USA and Japan.

Joachim Schmidt is specialised in consulting with introducing and improving the performance of production scheduling with Lean Production Methods, andB-2-B-marketing with systematically developing products in machine tools and general engineering industries.
